描述
The CS8 is a 960 × 960 × 140 mm outdoor fixed LED display at P8, > 5,000 nits, IP65. It is the permanent-installation build: bolted to steelwork, fed from a fixed supply, and expected to run for years without being taken down. Typical sites are building facades, roadside billboards, petrol stations, stadium perimeter walls and transport interchanges.
Key Features
- 960 × 960 × 140 mm cabinet at P8: 120 × 120 = 14,400 — a square module grid that builds walls in even steps, so the finished screen does not need a custom cabinet at the edge.
- > 5,000 nits, IP65: daylight brightness with the sealing that goes with it; the screen is built to be looked at in direct sun, not in a shop window.
- 3,840 Hz refresh, 1/5 scan: a straightforward drive scheme matched to this pitch and brightness.
- Rear service: modules and cards are reached from behind — allow for that access in the steelwork design, it is the most common thing that gets missed.
- CL power supply, Novastar control: standard sending hardware, so the wall joins an existing control room without a proprietary player.
- Part of the CS series — a 140 mm cabinet with a 3840 Hz refresh, aimed at walls that will be filmed.

Ordering Notes
Price is per square metre unless a cabinet price is agreed in writing. Steelwork, installation, control system and commissioning are quoted separately. Final wall size is a multiple of the cabinet size.
FAQ
Q: How do the ES, ASE, CS and AS series differ?
A: They differ in cabinet depth, refresh rate, brightness headroom and ingress rating rather than in basic construction. AS is the standard 120 mm build; ASE is a shallower 100 mm cabinet; CS is 140 mm with a 3840 Hz refresh for filmed locations; ES is the deepest cabinet with the highest IP rating on the ES8. Choose on mounting depth, camera requirements and weather exposure.
Q: What brightness do I actually need?
A: For a wall in direct sun, 5,000 nits and above is the safe choice; 3,000–4,000 nits works where the face is shaded for part of the day or viewed from closer. Over-specifying brightness costs power and heat for no gain in legibility.
Q: How is the wall calculated — cabinets or square metres?
A: The cabinet is 960 × 960 × 140 mm, so the wall is built from whole cabinets and the final size is a multiple of that. Send the target width and height and we will return the nearest cabinet-based size, the resolution and the power budget.
Q: Front or rear service — what do I need to allow for?
A: This model is Rear service. If the wall is going against a solid face with no rear access, say so before ordering: it changes the cabinet choice, and it is expensive to discover after the steelwork is up.
Q: Can I mix pitches in one wall?
A: Not within a single cabinet, and mixing across a wall creates visible seams in resolution. If the design needs a different pitch for a logo band or a text strip, plan it as a separate screen with its own controller.
