描述
The QX2-2000mm is a 2000 mm indoor LED sphere at P2 — a full ball built from tapered modules rather than a bent panel. Spheres are specified when the screen has to be an object in the room, not a rectangle on the wall: atriums, exhibition stands, car showrooms, museum halls.
Key Features
- 2000 mm sphere at P2: a complete ball, not a curved panel — the cabinet set is shaped and keyed so the modules close into a true sphere with no flat facet left showing.
- > 400 nits, 1,920 Hz refresh: indoor brightness tuned for a hanging centre-piece, with a refresh rate that keeps phone video and broadcast cameras clean.
- 360° viewing: there is no front and no back — the sphere reads from every approach angle, which is why it works suspended over an atrium or on a plinth in a lobby.
- Module-level curvature: each module carries the correct taper for its latitude on the ball, so the pixel pitch stays visually even from top to bottom instead of compressing at the poles.
- Front service and hanging structure: the ball is built around a steel hub with a suspension point; modules and receiving cards are reached individually without dismantling the sphere.
- Muen power, Novastar control: mapping software for spherical surfaces is standard in the Novastar toolchain, so you are not locked into a proprietary player.

Ordering Notes
Price is per sphere including the cabinet set and internal hub. Suspension rigging, plinth and installation are quoted separately. Provide the ceiling height and load limit before ordering.

FAQ
Q: Can I get a different diameter?
A: 2000 mm is the standard size for this model. The QX range covers other diameters — tell us the size you need and we will confirm which model matches, or whether a custom sphere build is required.
Q: How does content work on a sphere?
A: The surface is mapped as a sphere in the playback software: you supply a flat image or video and the player wraps it around the ball. Novastar’s mapping tools handle the projection, so standard media files work — you do not need to pre-distort the artwork.
Q: How is it installed?
A: The sphere hangs from a single suspension point on an internal steel hub, or sits on a plinth for floor standing. Tell us the ceiling height, the load limit of the structure above and whether the ball must be visible from below — the hub and rigging differ.
Q: How do you service modules inside a ball?
A: Each module is individually removable from the outside; the receiving cards and power supplies sit on the internal hub. No part of the sphere has to be taken down for a single module swap.
Q: What viewing distance suits this diameter?
A: At P2 on a 2000 mm ball, the picture holds up from about 3 m away. Closer than that and the ball reads as an object rather than an image — which is usually the point.
