The production process of flexible LED panel video screen
Flexible LED panel video screens are gradually becoming more prevalent in our lives with the development of technology. If you want to have a complete flexible LED panel video screen, how do you make one? This article will take you through the production process of flexible LED panel video screens!
Prepare tools and components
Before making a flexible LED panel video screen, prepare the following tools and components:
Tools
- Gloves, welding masks, and other protective equipment
- Tape measure or laser level
- Welding tools
- Screwdriver tools
Components
- Flexible LED modules
- LED screen cabinets
- Control cards
- Power supply devices
- Steel structure materials
- Power cables, ribbon cables, Ethernet cables, and other cables
Calculate dimensions
Once all the necessary tools and components are ready, calculate the actual dimensions of the flexible LED panel video screen using the following formula:
Flexible LED module length * number of modules in the horizontal direction = actual screen length
Flexible LED module width * number of modules in the vertical direction = actual screen width
Next, calculate the distance between the flexible LED panel video screen and the wall based on the thickness of the power supply device and control card. Finally, calculate the actual size of the truss structure based on the above data.
Measurement and positioning
After the calculation is complete, we can use a tape measure to measure the specific location of the flexible LED panel video screen installation. If the installation wall is not very flat, a laser level can be used to measure it to reduce errors.
When measuring the size of the flexible LED panel video screen, we can use markers or stickers to mark important points to improve the accuracy of the production and facilitate the subsequent installation of the truss structure.
Building the truss structure
The truss structure of the flexible LED panel video screen requires steel structural materials and welding tools. The following are the three steps for building the truss structure:
Use steel materials to build the length, width, and height of the outer edge of the truss structure.
Build a small truss structure according to the size of the flexible LED cabinet
Reinforce and refine the entire frame to ensure that the truss structure can support the flexible LED panel video screen
Install the LED cabinet
After the truss structure is built, the LED cabinet must be installed. The LED cabinet can be installed according to the structural design drawings provided by MuenLED. The installation starts from the lower left corner of the truss structure, and the installation sequence is from left to right and from bottom to top.
During installation, the LED cabinets can be positioned using the positioning pins on the cabinets and secured to adjacent cabinets using locking clips. After securing, the LED cabinets can be connected to the truss structure using connection plates and screws to ensure stable installation on the truss structure.
Assemble the power supply device and power cord
After installing the LED cabinet, assemble the power supply device and power cord, whose main function is to ensure the stable operation of the flexible LED panel video screen. The following are the steps for assembling the power supply device and power cord:
Step 1: Calculate the number of flexible LED modules that the power supply unit can support based on its power consumption. Generally, a power supply unit with a power consumption of 200W can support 4 LED modules; a power supply unit with a power consumption of 300W can support 6 LED modules.
Step 2: Determine the installation location of the power supply unit based on the calculation results and mark it accordingly.
Step 3: Connect the power supply unit and power cables, which primarily come in two colors: red and black. The black power cable connects to the negative terminal of the power supply unit, transmitting the “-” end; the red power cable connects to the positive terminal of the power supply unit, transmitting the “+” end.
Step 4: Install the power supply unit with the power cables using screws at the marked locations.
Step 5: Connect the power supply unit installed on the LED cabinet using an AC power cable, using a series connection.
It is important to note that throughout the entire assembly process, all electrical safety procedures must be strictly followed to minimize electrical risks.
Assemble the control card and cable
After confirming that the power supply device and power cord are assembled correctly, assemble the control card and cable, whose main function is to enable the flexible LED panel video screen to receive and transmit signals.
First, connect the cable (flat cable) to the control card. For the connection order and position, please contact MuenLED technical personnel for guidance.
Next, secure the control card with the ribbon cable to the LED cabinet using screws or mounting plates. The installation location should be in the LED cabinet area near the power supply unit.
Lastly, connect the control cards in series using network cables to ensure that each control card can receive and transmit signals.

Installing flexible LED modules
When installing flexible LED modules, first check the arrow markings on the back of the flexible LED modules to ensure that the arrows point upward and to the right during installation. Then connect the power supply unit’s power cables and the control card’s ribbon cables to the internal interfaces of the flexible LED modules.
After that, carefully install the connected flexible LED modules on the LED cabinet and splice several flexible LED modules into a flexible LED panel video screen. During installation, if it is not aligned with the surrounding flexible LED modules, remove the flexible LED module and reinstall it. During the removal process, you can use a suction cup.
Screen test
After ensuring that the above operations are accurate, press the button on the control card to test the flexible LED panel video screen. During the test, the screen will be tested in the following display order:
- red
- green
- blue
- row
- column
- Integral information

Screen debugging
After the flexible LED panel video screen has been tested, first connect the HDMI cable and USB debugging cable to the computer and video processor, and then use an Ethernet cable to connect the video processor to the control card of the flexible LED panel video screen.
After the connection is complete, download the corresponding control software for the control card on the computer, and then use the control software to adjust the screen parameters of the flexible LED display.
